Conor McGregor may have pushed his luck a little too far. While the UFC superstar has always had an attitude that is seeping with untouchability, the old adage remains true – no one is above the law. On Friday, a video emerged of the Irish fighter being escorted out of a New York Police station in handcuffs.

Also emerging on Friday was McGregor’s mugshot.

The drama all started when Dana White announced the UFC would be stripping McGregor of his Lightweight belt. McGregor, who has developed somewhat of a bad boy reputation after multiple incidents, did not take the news well.

He ended up storming UFC 223 media day, where he was on a mission to find Khabib Nurmagomedov – one of the two fighters looking to become the next lightweight champion, also a fighter that has had beef with McGregor in the past. The other fighter was slated to be Max Holloway, but he has since been deemed physically unfit to fight.

Here is the video of McGregor’s dolly-throwing attack upon finding Nurmagomedov’s bus.

While some speculated it was a publicity stunt, UFC president Dana White was quick to combat that opinion.

The next steps aren’t quite clear yet, but there is no doubt this has been the largest backlash McGregor has received from his various stunts. One thing’s for sure, handcuffs are never a good sign.
