The Los Angeles Angels picked up a big 9-4 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night and it was an emotional night for everyone involved.

Before the game both teams joined each other on the field as a moment of silence was held in Tyler Skaggs’ honour and it was followed up with a beautiful tribute video.

Following the game, it was easy to tell that the previous 36 hours really weighed on the Angels players as they slowly embraced each other and went down a line exchanging hugs with one another to celebrate their recent win.

Once they returned to their clubhouse, the players joined Angels manager Brad Ausmus at the podium and the emotions were on full display as players like Andrew Heaney and Mike Trout shared memories about their late teammate and why they decided to bring his jersey out onto the bench one last time.

The Angels players honoured Skaggs throughout the game, as well, as Jose Suarez wrote something on the pitcher’s mound before touching the No. 45 painted on the mound and tapping his heart, and Justin Bour pointed skyward after his two-run single in the 6th inning that scored the eventual game-winning run.
