Mike Reilly is one of the top quarterbacks in the CFL this day in age. Originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009, Reilly has made his way north of the border and has left his mark on the CFL. He was instrumental in the Eskimos’ run towards winning the 103rd Grey Cup back in 2015, ultimately being named the Most Valuable Player.
Matthew Scianitti on the other hand is a terrific sideline reporter. He consistently impresses viewers with his in-depth analysis, his timely reports, and his unrivaled fashion sense. Last week, Scianitti got a chance to show off his hands to Reilly, who was watching from home, but unfortunately… he goofed.
Yikes. That is pretty inexcusable. Already covered in a blanket of humiliation, Scianitti then received a text from Reilly.
He didn’t stop there, he even dared to venture into the never ending fashion rivalry the two seem to have.
On Sunday, Scianitti tweeted out the roast of all roasts. Reilly lets loose on everything from Scianitti’s hands to his inspector gadget-esque jacket.
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for the rest of the season to see if Scianitti gets a chance at redemption, but for now he sits in a puddle of Reilly-reinforced shame.
