Mike Hoffman likely won’t go down as one of the greatest San Jose Sharks of all-time. He’s a fantastic player, but unless he somehow finds his way back onto the roster… well… his numbers don’t exactly pop out.

He was only on the roster for a few hours, and he obviously didn’t play any games during that time. He was technically under contract with them, but he never actually suited up in teal. Regardless, that didn’t stop fans from using his “return” to make some people laugh.

Teal City Crew, the self-proclaimed “loudest and proudest” Sharks fans, created a banner that they hung from the crowd. Apparently other fans weren’t the only ones that got a kick out of it, and Hoffman himself even chimed in inquiring about getting the banner off the Sharks fans.

And, he did!

What a fantastic full-circle story to come out of a rostering that lasted a few hours. What’s next, a Hoffman tribute video in San Jose? Can’t wait to find out.
