Dirk Nowitzki is one of the greatest players to ever suit up in the NBA and he’s certainly the greatest European-born player to ever play the game.
The man known throughout his career as ‘Disco Dirk’ celebrated the big 4-0 on Tuesday and Dallas Mavericks Director of Player Development Mike Procopio wished the franchise’s greatest player a happy birthday and came out firing right from the get go.

The 13-time NBA All-Star did not take the comments to heart, though, and took all the chirps like a champion.
Procopio wasn’t the only member of the Mavs’ staff to take a shot at Dirk on his big day as the team’s head athletic trainer Casey Smith also had a pretty good birthday message ready to go for the 2007 NBA MVP.
Dirk has one of the best personalities in the game and it shows on his social feeds.
