Matt Duchene thanked Ottawa in touching message on Twitter after being traded

Matt Duchene wasn't a member of the Senators for a long time, but his time in Ottawa was unforgettable for many different reasons.

Friday, his tenure in the Nation's Capital came to an end when he was traded to Columbus and following the deal, Duchene took to Twitter to share a heartwarming message to his former teammates, the city of Ottawa, and the fans.

Duchene also expressed his excitement to be joining the Blue Jackets and he had a message for his new team's fans, too.

Columbus is one point back of the final wild card spot, but they have two games in hand on the Hurricanes and apparently they might not be done loading up for a playoff run just yet.
