Regardless of a team's record, divisional games in the NFL are always intense and emotional.

The AFC West was featured in Thursday night's game as the Raiders hosted the division-leading Chiefs and things got heated in the second quarter after Marcus Peters hit Derek Carr late.

Marshawn Lynch sprinted from the bench to defend his quarterback, and as some people pointed out on Twitter, calm Peters down and get him out of there, and was eventually ejected for putting his hands on the official.

Not only was Lynch ejected, but because he put his hands on the official, he'll be fined, too.

That's a pretty significant fine, but we imagine Lynch isn't very worried about it and at the end of the day, you have to admire him trying to defend his quarterback.

Next time, though, he just has to keep his hands off the referee.
