Happy International Dog Day!
Well Mitch Marner is in the midst of an offseason of uncertainty, he seems to be generally unconcerned about his contract or future with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has continued to post about his summer, enjoying and making the most of his time off the ice, but he’s also making time to give back.
One of the ways he does that is through Marner Assist – a charity set up that supports organizations that help create change for kids and their futures. The most recent showing of support was towards the Durham Police, who received a custom Mitch Marner bite suit used to train canines.
Well on the surface some may think this is a shot at Marner not having completed the contract yet, it’s really just a nice gesture from Marner and Marner Assist.
Hopefully none of these canines spot Mitch in his jersey, though. That may get a little messy!
