For a guy that was known for being super low-key during his time in New York, Derek Jeter has had quite an interesting and turbulent first few weeks with the Marlins ownership group.

The Giancarlo Stanton trade immediately showed that the Marlins new ownership group intends to do a rebuild from the ground up, something that has baseball fans in Miami worried for their future. Tuesday, Marlins fans were given a chance to air their grievances to the ownership group, including Jeter, at a town hall meeting.

Out of all the exchanges between fans and management on the day, the most interesting interaction came from the franchise's most notable fan: Marlin's Man. Yes, that guy who you sometimes see sitting behind the plate at random games throughout the year wearing all Marlins gear, even if the Marlins aren't playing. We know you know who he is...but does Jeter?

That wasn't the only moment in which Jeter decided to flash his charisma, as the Yankees legend fired off another one-liner when a fan pondered why he hadn't heard back from him.

It wasn't all fun and games, though, as fans who have stuck by the team through some pretty rough times were less than enthusiastic with the new ownership's decision to tear down and rebuild.

The next few seasons will undoubtedly be tough for Marlins fans to watch, especially if the team continues to trade away their star players this offseason. But, to reach the same heights of the 2017 Houston Astros, sometimes you've got to suck like the 2014 Astros.
