Marcus Stroman has had an excellent year by all measures – in fact, today he even reached 200 innings pitched for the second year in a row, but that’s not what people will remember.
As good of a year as Stroman has had, Aaron Judge is having a historic season.
He’s already broken Yankee records for home runs in a rookie season and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Judge and the Yankees were hosting the Blue Jays today with Stroman on the opposing mound and one ball we as Marcus Stroman put it “extremely far”.
Don’t think that didn’t catch Stroman’s attention either. He made sure to tip his cap to Judge after the game via Twitter.
That wasn’t the farthest ball that Judge has hit this season, that honour belongs to the 495 foot home run he hit earlier in the season to virtually the exact same part of Yankee Stadium. This guy’s on cruise control.
