If you look up who owns the Toronto Maple Leafs on Google, it’ll tell you Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
Sometimes, though, it looks a little bit more like Bruins’ forward Brad Marchand does.
Between the playoff wins and his consistently strong performances against the Buds, Marchand lives pretty rent-free in the minds of the Maple Leafs.
Last night, in the Bruins’ victory at Scotiabank Arena at the annual Hall of Fame Game, Marchand put on a two-goal performance and was rewarded with Player of the Game honours.
When presented the award by Lanny McDonald, he added a little fuel to the rivalry fire by going for a bit of a victory lap for Toronto fans.
Today, he added to that shade with a subtle Tweet.
One single emoji. Just enough to get the Leafs fans heated, and Bruins fans pumped.
Love him or hate him, he’s a fantastic player, and ruffles feathers better than anyone in the league.
