Manny Machado rumours have started to indicate that he will be traded before the deadline and he just threw some gasoline on the fire.
While there has been speculation for most of the season about what will happen with Machado this year and after this year, a recent favourite to emerge has been the New York Yankees. Over the past couple of days, several well-known reporters (Jon Heyman, Ken Rosenthal) have shared information stating that the Yankees have made serious offers for Machado, but nothing can spark speculation like some social media activity from the man himself.
Manny Machado got caught liking a jersey swap of himself in a Yankees jersey and MLB fans are going wild.
Funny enough, where it seems like he would fit in most with the Yankees is at third base, but he seemed to state that he did not want to play that position.
We’re sure no matter where he wanted to play, the Yankees would find room provided they get a fair deal. Basically any team would love to have Machado, who has been a top-10 offensive player this season. He’s always been a premiere defender as well, but Didi Gregorius has been stellar for the Yankees at short.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out, but as hockey fans know better than anyone, likes don’t mean all that much.
