Each year as the NFL trudges deeper and deeper into the season, the weather becomes more and more of a factor. For some guys – like Derrick Henry, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers – it seems to create an advantage. They’re considered to be “cold weather players,” giving the perception of an advantage against players that don’t thrive quite as much in the cold.
So basically, there are three types of quarterbacks. Cold weather quarterbacks, non-cold weather quarterbacks, and… well… those that don’t know yet!
While New England Patriots pivot Mac Jones has been playing in Foxborough for long enough to know cold weather, a tweet from 2015 is making the rounds on social media again out of sheer irony.
Playing in his rookie season, Jones is preparing for one of the snowiest games imaginable in Buffalo. Not only that, but the spotlights will be a little brighter with the game coming in prime time on Monday Night Football.
Hope you learned how to play in snow real quick, Mac. You’re going to need it tonight!
