We all know how tough hockey players are. There are countless stories of hockey players returning from brutal injuries, and it’s not very often they’ll leave a game if they don’t have one of their limbs literally broken off.
Hockey fans sometimes give other sports a hard time, believing that hockey’s toughness shines through. When Fred VanVleet went crashing down to the court with a brutal cut under his eye (that eventually required seven stitches) and part of his tooth missing, many related it to a hockey-like injury.
As a result, San Jose Sharks star Logan Couture, who has shown his allegiance is to the Raps despite playing in the Bay area, offered his assistance to VanVleet.
While Logan was paying respect to a fellow athlete, Fred made it pretty clear he didn’t want to become known for this kind of thing. He even commended Canadians and hockey players for their toughness, while announcing that he would not like to pursue a career in the battered and bruised sport.
