LeBron James made his highly anticipated return to Cleveland last night and he was welcomed back with open arms.

Contrary to the first time he came home, this time told a different story. LeBron came back to Believeland in 2018 after leading the franchise to four straight championship appearances, one of which they won in 2016 against the Golden State Warriors. His Lakers ended up defeating the Cavs 109-105, dropping 32 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists in a dominating performance. But the Cavaliers made it clear that last night wasn’t just about basketball. It was about arguably the city’s biggest athletic hero returning to a place he’s always called home. After the Cavs’ Twitter team shared an emotional tribute to ‘The King’ that was played at the game, James expressed how happy he was to be back in Ohio.

Here’s a look at the standings ovation James received prior to tip-off.

And of course, he had all kinds of love thrown his way on Twitter.

No matter where James goes, he’ll always seem to have fans in Cleveland.
