In just very little time, LaMelo Ball has become a rookie sensation for the Charlotte Hornets. The No. 3 overall pick in this season’s draft has shown some incredible passing instincts, which we knew to expect from the scouting reports on him, but his game is already much more well-rounded than people might’ve thought coming in, especially so early.

With 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists against the Atlanta Hawks, Ball has become the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double at 19 years and 140 days of age. The previous record belonged to Markelle Fultz, who managed the feat at 19 years and 317 days old in 2018 for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Maybe even crazier is the fact that Ball got his triple-double a night after coming just one assist shy of the feat against his big brother Lonzo Ball and the New Orleans Pelicans. There's no denying this guy, it seems. (By the way, before Fultz set a new record in 2018, the record had previously belonged to Lonzo!)

For the time being, Ball still comes off the bench behind Terry Rozier and DeVonte’ Graham in the Hornets backcourt, but a change might be coming if he continues to play like this.
