It’s not very often that a referee obtains “household name” status in any sport, and if they do it may not be for the best reasons. But every once in a while there’s a beauty so entertaining it’s impossible to ignore.
In the NHL, that guy is undoubtedly Wes McCauley.
Over the last few years, McCauley has had a number of moments that have gone viral. Whether it’s his all-star game antics, his broken microphone, or his exuberant “five minutes for FIGHTING!”… Wes McCauley is a zebra that provides the content.
As it turns out, he’s providing the content EVEN DURING QUARANTINE (thank you, Wes. Seriously. Thank you).
While it may have just been dress-up day in the McCauley household, we like to imagine this is how he and his family are always dressed.
