Over the last couple of days, Christmas has been a big topic surrounding the Toronto Raptors.
First, DeMar DeRozan expressed his displeasure with the fact that the Raptors never seem to get a game on Christmas Day. In most professions, people would prefer not to work on Christmas, but on NBA it is the mark of a contender.
The marquee games of the NBA season are scheduled for the Christmas Day and it feels like a snub to a team that is on pace for their third straight season of a top-3 finish in the Eastern Conference.
Then, things got a little more pleasant. DeRozan and Serge Ibaka shared some jokes in the locker room about John Wall’s Christmas gifts and finally, we’re led into the holiday season with some well wishes from the number one bromance in sports, Kyle Lowry and Deebo.
Maybe Lowry was just upset he didn’t get a gift from DeRozan.
John Wall got his teammates Rolexs, so perhaps Lowry feels similar to Ibaka. Well, at least they can always count on Cabbie for some gifts around this time of year.
