Kyle Lowry will forever be a Toronto Raptors legend. Heck, he might even be the best Raptor of all time. However, the Kyle Lowry era in Toronto is officially over. This off-season the Toronto Raptors completed a sign-and-trade to send Lowry to the Miami Heat, and with the pre-season underway, we’re getting our first look at Lowry in his new uniform.
Early into the Heat’s preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks, Lowry scored his first points in a Heat jersey.
There’s going to be a whole lot more of that during the season, but the first bucket was hard to digest for Raptors fans. Kyle Lowry spent 9 memorable seasons in Toronto, and it’s undoubtedly weird to watch him scoring points for another team.
As several others have commented, it’ll be even weirder to see him draw his first charge. Especially when it happens against the Raptors. The good news for Raptors fans is that they have a couple of youngsters on their team that they should be VERY excited about.
