Kuznetsov was left hanging after Connolly's goal so he dealt with it himself

Sometimes you put yourself out there and you just have to deal with cold hard rejection. Well, that may be a little dramatic.

With the Washington Capitals hosting the San Jose Sharks on Monday, Brett Connolly scored to put the make the score 3-1 just before the 2nd intermission. It was a big momentum goal that put the Caps in a good position heading into the final frame, but after the goal Evgeny Kuznetsov had to deal with a bit of an embarrassing moment on the bench.

Kuznetsov went for the potatoes and got left in the patch.

Luckily Kuznetsov had the quick-thinking to deal with it himself and it became a funny moment:
