The GSP and Bisping fight wasn't the only big brawl happening on Saturday night. Not far away in Brooklyn, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder battled Haitian-Canadian boxer Bermane Stiverne for the second time in his career.
The first time these two fought in 2015, Wilder defeated Stiverne to win the title and he's defended it ever since.
Stiverne hadn't fought in two years before Saturday night, and the only reason he returned to the ring was because Luis Ortiz failed a drug test and he was his mandatory.
The 39-year-old didn't stand a chance against Wilder as the champ absolutely demolished him in a fight that ended in vicious fashion in the first round.
Wilder was a predatory and unfortunately for Stiverne, he was the prey.
If we were in Stiverne's position, we would have stayed down the first time, but you have to tip your hat to him for getting up only to get knocked the heck out seconds later.
The knockout of the night may have happened in the boxing world Saturday.
