The Minnesota Wild and the Los Angeles Kings took to the ice with heavy hearts on Thursday night after a 28-year-old man open fired inside Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday night, taking the lives of 12 people.

In honour of the people who lost their lives in tragedy, both the Kings and the Wild added ENOUGH. decals to the back of their helmets for the contest.

On top of the decals that the teams added to the helmets, players lined the benches ahead of the national anthem holding ‘ENOUGH.’ signs, which they held up during the moment of silence that was held in honour of the victims.

An incredible moment ❤️ #ENOUGH

The Kings are also raising money for the Ventura County Family Foundation, as they plan on donating proceeds from Thursday’s 50-50 draw towards the charity, which the Kings players will match.

Members of the Kings also took to social media throughout the day to pay their respects to the victims of the tragic shooting.

It’s heartbreaking that things like this still occur on the daily.
