Kawhi Leonard came to Canada for one season, messed around a bit, won a championship, and then left. He was gone as quick as he came.
He left lasting memories, though. From the Game 7 buzzer-beater over Philly, to the iconic championship moment, all the way to the memorable parade where he signed off with the same laugh he arrived with, the Kawhi Leonard era can be summarized as short, and very, very, very sweet.
On Wednesday, Kawhi appeared north of the border for the first time since joining the Los Angeles Clippers. While many believe that the cold weather played a factor in Kawhi’s decision to head to California, it certainly didn’t seem like it based on his choice of outfit.
Shorts and a puffer jacket. That’s exactly halfway in between Canada and California, and doesn’t that just seem extremely appropriate.
