It was a wild night in Buffalo as the Bills hosted their division rival, the New England Patriots. Divisional games are always something to pay special attention to, but with the game coming in prime time, on Monday night, in the middle of a blizzard… the stakes were extra high.
The Pats and Bills took very different approaches to the game, with the Pats limiting quarterback Mac Jones to just THREE pass attempts (2/3 for 19 yards) and the Bills relying on the strong arm of Josh Allen to cut through the wind. In the end, it was the Pats who emerged victorious, limiting the Bills to just one touchdown on four red zone trips.
The game was strange. It was undoubtedly won on the ground, particularly on a 64-yard scamper from Damien Harris to set the tone.
It is the first time in 40 years that a team has won a game while throwing that little. When asked if that fact was embarrassing for the Bills defence, safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde did not take it very well.
Following the media availability, Hyde had one more thing to say to WIVB reporter Jerry Sullivan, who asked the initial question that ticked the Bills defenders off.
Since this moment, there has been mixed reaction from fans and other media members. Some believe this was an emotional response to a fair question, while others believe Sullivan crossed the line with this.
What do you think? Did this question cross the line? Let us know @BarDown!
