After being acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning last summer, Jonathan Drouin’s first season with the Montreal Canadiens didn’t really go as planned. Forced into being a centre on a club depleted down the middle, the Sainte-Agathe, Quebec, product registered 13 goals and 46 points in 77 games.

Looking to switch things up this season, Drouin has decided to let the flow grow this summer, and was spotted at Kris Letang’s charity hockey tournament rocking a mullet that would make Jaromir Jagr proud.

Check out the side profile. Just call him Jonathan Jagr or Jaromir Drouin. Those are some quality handlebars, too.

The 23-year-old is about to enter his fifth full season in the NHL. Based on the team not finding a trading partner for Max Pacioretty, left winger Max Domi being acquired at the expense of Alex Galchenyuk and Marc Bergevin not bringing in a notable top-six centre, it seems that Drouin will try his hand down the middle despite coming up as a winger.

The question that everyone in Montreal will now be asking is: "will Jonathan Drouin continue to grow the flow?" Watch him go set a career high in points now.
