We all know that NFL wide receivers are all for the theatrics. Known as the league’s “diva” position, it seems to be a pre-requisite that you have a head the size of a hot air balloon in some cases.
That doesn’t just go for current TikTok Trah-Talkers, either. The GOATs are also no strangers to flexing an inflated ego, but in fairness they have a lot of leg to stand on.
But who is the actual greatest of all-time? Depends who you ask, but the conversation flared up when Randy Moss was asked the question.
“I’ll put myself first, I’ll put T.O. second. I think Jerry is probably third or fourth,” Moss told T.O. and Hatch Podcast. It’s possible that Moss was greasing Terrell Owens’ wheels, seeing as he was a guest on his podcast.
As for Jerry Rice, he didn’t seem to mind Moss’s determination that he falls to No. 3 or 4 on the list. He pointed out one simple reason why.
“If Randy wants to be No. 1 that’s fine… My main thing is it was all about the rings,” Rice responded, via 95.7 The Game.
That’s a big-time flex.
Essentially, the legendary San Francisco 49ers pass catcher is saying Moss and T.O. can talk all they want about who’s #1, because clearly that’s all they have left to be important to them. He’ll carry on with his three Super Bowl rings, which is three more than both the others combined.
Winning rings is the ultimate trash-talking ammo.
