All is not well in the state of hockey for the Minnesota Wild.

Sitting dead last in the NHL with a mere two points on the season, the Wild, at this point, looked destined to be a lottery team that could be selecting very high at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

A league-worst -15 goal differential in seven games, their abysmal start to the season wore on the players to the point where forward Jason Zucker called out the entire team and head coach Bruce Boudreau to Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Zucker, who's been mired in trade rumours dating back to last season, let it be known that the Wild's start is flat out unacceptable.

The comments from Zucker certainly didn't help the team morale, which came after private meetings with Boudreau and team's core veterans.

Whether new general manager Bill Guerin, who's tasked with cleaning up the mess left by former GM Paul Fenton left, talked to Zucker or not, the 27-year-old apologized for throwing his coach under the bus, and took more ownership that he needs to be better.

"There was no reason for me to use his name in that quote in any way. That’s completely on me. My intention w the quote was to state that everybody needs to be better, to do more ... . 99.9% of that is on the players."

In seven games on the year, Zucker has two goals and is a -2.
