Jere Lehtinen was selected 88th overall in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota North Stars and spent his entire NHL career with the North Stars/Dallas Stars organization.

During his 15 NHL seasons, Lehtinen was voted to two All-Star Games, he won the Frank J. Selke Trophy three times, and won one Stanley Cup before calling it quits following the 2009-10 season.

This Friday, Jere Lehtinen will be honoured by the Dallas Stars ahead of their tilt with the Calgary Flames.

Although the game is still a few days away, Stars captain Jamie Benn surprised Lehtinen with a special trip to Italy on behalf of the Stars organization.
