Rookies across the NBA have made or will make their debuts in the coming days or at some point during the regular season, and it's completely understandable if they're all nervous.
Those nerves and the moment can definitely have an impact on a rookie's play in his debut, and Lonzo Ball, for example, found that out Thursday night during his first NBA game.
Just like his first summer league game, it wasn't a great outing for Lonzo, but he'll bounce back. There were some rookies that had solid debuts, and one of them was the sixth overall pick in the 2017 draft Jonathan Isaac.
The Orlando Magic power forward had four points, eight rebounds and two blocks in his first NBA game (a win by the Magic), but what he'll remember most from his debut is that he forgot to put his jersey on.
Isaac spoke to CBS Sports about the incident and how nervous he was for his first NBA game:
"I didn't even put my jersey on. I was on the bench and I completely forgot my jersey. I didn't even put it on," Isaac said.
That's one of the best welcome to the NBA moments we've ever seen, and we guarantee it won't happen to Issac ever again now that it's already happened once.
