Obviously it's ideal to start playing any sport at a young age, but it's never too late to start learning and playing a sport and the Florida Panthers are doing their best to help prove that fact.

On Monday, the team announced the launch of two new hockey programs, one of which is an Adult 'Learn To Play' Program.

As per the Panthers, the "Adult 'Learn to Play' program is designed for participants aged 18 and older to experience the game of ice hockey at the beginner level."

Furthermore, the cost for the program is shockingly low.  $355 dollars is the entry fee and that fee includes a full set of equipment "for the participant to keep at the completion of the program and 12 weeks of on-ice training."

The price of hockey equipment alone is one of the reasons why adults who just want to learn the game probably don't get into hockey.

The Panthers, though, clearly are committed to growing the game in Florida and these programs will definitely help do that.  Making the playoffs will also help do that and the Panthers are one point back of the final wildcard spot entering play Tuesday night.
