Hockey fans will be watching games in a Winter Wonderland over the holidays.  First, on December 29th, Canada and USA will play an outdoor game at the World Juniors at New Era Field.

Then, the NHL rings in the new year with the Winter Classic on January 1st between the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres.

We've already seen the jerseys both teams will be wearing for the game, so you're probably wondering what else is left to see?

Goalie gear is the answer you're looking for and on Wednesday, Henrik Lundqvist decided it was time to start breaking in his pads for the Winter Classic.

With the game being played in the home of the New York Mets, it's awesome that Lundqvist incorporated the team's logo in the design on his new pads.

Are these pads nicer than the ones he unveiled at the beginning of the season, though?

It's a close call, but we're going with the Winter Classic pads.
