Giancarlo Stanton went on an absolute tear during the month of August as he ended up smoking 18 home runs and driving in 37 runs in 109 at-bats in 29 games.
The 27-year-old kept his hot bat rolling right into September as he’s already hit two home runs in the first four games of the month. On Monday night, Stanton added to his career year by hitting his 53rd home run of the season and he happened to do some serious damage with his hit.
Stanton crushed the ball into the stands in right field and ended up breaking one of the cameras while doing so.
The home run was estimated at 357 feet and gives him a nice lead over Aaron Judge, who currently sits 15 home runs back of Stanton’s league-leading 53.
