Ghana soccer star gets his own statue and it might be the worst one yet

Over the last few years we have seen some athletes get “rewarded” for their efforts with some pretty terrible looking statues. It all started with Cristiano Ronaldo’s horrific statue at the Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport and the list expanded with a Diego Maradona statue.

Now we have another terrible statue to add to the never-ending list.

Michael Essien is one of the greatest soccer players to ever represent Ghana and they decided to put up this sculpture on one of the most popular roads in Kumasi in his honour and it ended up getting roasted online.
