Talk about the New England Patriots, the Chicago Blackhawks, or the New York Yankees all you want, but when it comes to sports dynasty teams the Chicago Bulls have proven to be almost untouchable at the top of the mountain.
The current Golden State Warriors are as close as an NBA team has ever come to matching the success of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippin, and the rest of the powerhouse Bulls, but they’ve still got a lot of success to pull off before that becomes a reality. The Bulls won six championships over the eight years between 1991 and 1998 – only two franchises have won more than six championships in general (The Lakers and the Celtics)
Now fans are getting riled up about an announcement coming from ESPN and Netflix, stating that the two companies will be working as a joint production to release “The Last Dance”, a 10-part documentary series diving deeper into the dynasty than ever before.
The doc-series will showcase over 500 hours of unseen footage, as well as full participation from the players and coaches that were there through it all. There is no doubt that this will deepen the legacy of an already legendary team in sports history. As expected, fans are pretty excited about it.
