Former NHL player Jeff Taffe has played just about everywhere throughout his career that you can think of. From 2002-2014, he played 180 NHL games and 681 AHL games before he decided to head overseas to play in Europe.

The 35-year-old Hastings, Minnesota native is currently playing with HC Slovan Bratislava in the KHL, and he’s already topped his stats from last season in fewer games this season. In a recent game against Metallurg Mg on Friday night, Taffe put forth an impressive effort that ended up leading to what is most likely the nicest goal he’s ever scored in his career.

He didn’t even have time to get back up to his feet, but that didn’t matter to the veteran as he still  managed to squeeze it by the goaltender for his 12th goal of the season. There were a few former NHL players contributing in this one as Alexander Semin scored two straight goals to open the scoring and Jonathan Cheechoo was the player who made the pass to Taffe on the goal you just watched.
