Hockey may just be a game, but in times of need, sports can help shine a light on what we love most about life.
Last February, two longtime Edmonton Oilers season ticket holders, Greg and Susan Jorgenson, were involved in a serious car accident that prevented them from attending games. In an incredibly classy move, the Oilers organization reached out to the Jorgenson's and not only got their favourite player to pay them a visit, they also extended an invitation for them to do what they love most: watch the Oilers play.
Out of all the games the Jorgensons have attended over the years, this must have been their favourite one. Not only did they get to travel there in style, they also made it onto the jumbotron and received a special round of applause from the Oilers faithful.
Such a classy move and a fantastic story.
