Players give it their all every game of the season, but when rivalry games roll around some players turn things up a notch because of the importance of the game.
During Saturday’s Florida and Florida State football game, Gators running back Dameon Pierce showed the world just how much grabbing the win in that specific game meant to him with one play that most players would never attempt to try.
With Florida leading 17-7 in the 4th, Pierce wanted to put the icing on the cake and put the game out of reach. Defenders weren’t going to stop him and neither was losing his helmet on the play, but for that wild reason the touchdown was called back.
You can’t just expect someone to stop dead in their tracks when they’re going full speed like that and have adrenaline rushing through their body, and the fact that he made it to the end zone unharmed is absolutely wild.
