This weekend, the combat sports world got a knockout of the year candidate and it didn't come from the UFC.
On Saturday night at Glory of Heroes 31 in Beijing, a fighter by the name of Tie Yinghua squared off against Singdam Kiatmuu9, but the fight didn't last long as Yinghua delivered a devastating spinning hook kick to earn a scary first-round knockout win.
Like we said, it was a knockout of the year candidate and at this point, it may be the frontrunner. Watching the video, though, you can see why the knockout was so scary.
Thankfully Singdam Kiatmuu9 was seen smiling and up on his feet after the official decision was announced because it would have been easy to stay down for a long, long time after being on the receiving end of that kick.
