Evgeni Malkin is one of the funniest interviews in the NHL, but language barriers restrict the amount of time we get to hear from Geno.

If you ever want a good laugh, just look up Evgeni Malkin funny interviews on YouTube and it’ll keep you busy for a while. The Penguins found another way to get some more funny moments out of Geno and that’s by doing the interview in Russian. They set up a Vanity Fair-style interview where they asked him 71 different questions as they toured around his house.

One of the more interesting answers came from when he was asked about NHL rules that he likes and dislikes.

It’s funny that’s it’s a slashing rule that is really getting Malkin angry (Although, there wasn’t really a rule change, they just started enforcing it differently). He definitely has a history of getting in trouble for slashing, so it makes sense that he would want a little more leniency. Although, on the other end, a skilled player like him would probably benefit from a little less stick work out there.

On the other end, he’s also probably in the minority for the new goal reviews.

Just about everyone has had an issue with how offside and goalie reviews have been handled since their introduction to the NHL, but Malkin just wants the right call.
