The NBA is BACK, and the regular season is just around the corner! As we prepare for meaningful basketball, the Toronto Raptors and the rest of the NBA is looking to get up to game speed through preseason play.

Apparently Drake also wanted to get a little preseason work in, as the Raps global ambassador hit Scotiabank Arena to cheer on the new-look Raps squad against the Houston Rockets. As part of his preseason visit to the β€˜Bank, Drake also joined Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong on the broadcast to discuss a whole host of topics.

One of the most profound moments is when Drake discussed former Raptors star Kawhi Leonard. While Kawhi has been characteristically quiet about his former team for the most part, Raptors fans have always itched for a little more insight following the dramatic fall out when Leonard left for Los Angeles.

Drake provided some insight into Kawhi’s matter, touting Kawhi for his grateful attitude towards the city and the fans of Toronto.

While this was a very serious and borderline somber moment in the broadcast appearance, the rest of it was mostly just entertaining. Drake gave Matt and Jack a little fashion advice for opening day, while also minting a new nickname for undrafted rookie Justin Champagnie.

In the end, it’s all love between Drake and the guys. Drake even went so far as to knight Matt, Jack, and the TSN crew as the best broadcast in the NBA.

What a rollercoaster of a preseason experience that was!
