The Stanley Cup has spent a good portion in parts of Europe this summer, mainly in parts of the Czech Republic and Russia. On Friday, Orlov had his special day with the cup after fellow Russian Evgeny Kuznetsov ate Russian dumplings out of the bowl.

First up, the Capitals defensive brought Lord Stanley’s mug to Novokuznetsk, an area in Siberia where he did a special meet and greet at a local park in front of a Ferris wheel. The city celebrated its 400th birthday and Orlov made sure to bring a special gift for the city’s residents.

As the day progressed and the kids went to bed, Orlov brought out the cup for a private party and made an extremely bold entrance.

Check out that strut. A red carpet, flamethrowers and fire machines. Orlov definitely raised the stakes on how to make a grand entrance while carrying hockey’s most prized possession.  When in Russia, right?

After reaching the 30-point mark for the second straight season that included a career-high of 10 goals this year, Orlov posted 8 points in 26 playoffs games while logging the third most minutes in the post-season with an average TOI of 24:12 per game.
