The New Jersey Devils’ AHL affiliate has been based out of Albany since 1993, but next season things are going to be different.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Albany Devils would relocate to Binghamton, New York, to replace the departing Binghamton Senators.
The Devils’ 2016-17 season came to an end after they were eliminated by the Toronto Marlies in the first round, so they decided to thank the city of Albany and their loyal fans with an awesome heartfelt tribute video.
Next season is going to be a little strange for the players who have called Albany home for many years, but at least the team is moving to a city that is already used to having an AHL franchise to call their own.
The team could have written a letter or tweeted a special message to thank the fans, but they decided to go all in with the awesome tribute video.
Job well done by the Devils.
