After Michal Neuvirth went down against the Rangers Sunday, many expected the Flyers to make a move to acquire a goalie.

Philadelphia got a deal done a lot sooner than expected as they made a trade with the Red Wings Monday night to get some help in between the pipes.

Petr Mrazek only played in 18 games this season with Detroit, but the Flyers were desperate for a goaltender and he fits the bill.

Now that he's a Flyer, we imagine Detroit fans will wish him and Philadelphia all the best and hope they can go on a deep postseason run based on what the conditions are for the conditional draft picks they acquired in the trade.

The best-case scenario is Mrazek leading the Flyers to the Conference Final and re-signing with Philly, which would net Detroit a second-round pick in 2018 and a third-round pick in 2019.

The worst-case scenario, though, is much worse in our opinion as they could end up with a fourth-round pick in 2018 and nothing else for trading a goalie that just turned 26.
