Larry Walker finally got his call to the Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday night and his outfit became an instant hit among baseball fans and just about anyone who came across photos on social media.

Less than 24 hours after he got the call from the Hall of Fame, Walker and Derek Jeter were in Cooperstown on Wednesday afternoon and the 7-time Gold Glove Award winner didn’t wait very long before cracking a joke about his SpongeBob shirt.

Larry Walker prefers today's outfit more than yesterday's. Derek Jeter does not. 😂

According to Walker, Jeter offered him $50 for the now famous SpongeBob shirt, but we’re guessing he couldn’t part ways with it. It seemed like a real offer considering Jeter was pretty quick to interrupt with a comment about how their Hall of Fame jersey isn’t better than the SpongeBob shirt.

Maybe he’ll think about wearing it under his suit when the induction ceremony rolls around.
