For the Deontay Wilder’s entire career, we’ve never seen him on the losing side of a bout. The only blemish on his record heading into his rematch with Tyson Fury was his first battle with Fury, which ended in a controversial tie. After the two stepped into the ring to box it out again, it became clear we were going to see how Wilder handled defeat in the following days.

As it turns out, not very well.

Wilder has taken a little bit of responsibility, but for the most part he’s found ways to blame anyone other than himself. The ref and his corner are one thing, but the most ridiculous is undoubtedly laying blame on the 40lbs knight suit he chose to enter the spectacle in.

While the suit is definitely heavy, many have wondered why a man of his size and strength would be unable to handle the weight. After all, doesn’t he train in a vest even heavier than that?

Looking back to an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast just over a week after the original Wilder vs. Fury bout, Wilder explained that his training regime included using a 45lbs vest “during all his exercises”.

This, of course, sparked more jokes at the expense of the hulking American. Twitter doesn’t need much, and if you give an inch they’ll take a mile!
