Mercurial superstar DeMarcus Cousins is truly an enigma. When Cousins is playing at his best, the center is one of the most dominating players in the NBA. But anytime someone gets under Cousins's skin -- be it a player or a fan -- the big man can't seem to keep his cool.

Monday, after the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Utah Jazz, a fan in the stands provoked Cousins into a battle of insults, asking the centre "when he got so soft." Cousins responded in kind.

This comes just one day after Cousins exchanged words with yet another fan in Los Angeles, launching a NSFW jab in the heckler's direction. It's certainly easy to point the finger at Cousins here and label him as a "loose cannon," but at some point you have to label unwarranted heckling for what it really is...bullying.

A small hypothetical situation for you if you will. Let's pretend your team is trailing and your coach calls a timeout to speak with the team. You return to the bench only to hear this guy hurling insults your way.

Tell us that's not annoying? Again, that doesn't excuse Boogie's behaviour, but it should be noted that hecklers sometimes go too far in their taunting, quickly forgetting that while professional athletes are well-paid, that doesn't mean they're devoid of feelings.
