So that’s what happened with David Rittich, after the Calgary Flames decided to trade him to the Toronto Maple Leafs the day before the two teams played each other in Toronto. Now this would be a fun team flight to eavesdrop on!
Usually, these trade departures on deadline day lead to some pretty abrupt goodbyes, so it’s cool to see that Rittich was able to spend some more time with his former teammates before moving on.
Rittich already has new gear ready to go for his new chapter with the Leafs, so we’re sure he’s just as excited as anyone to get to work.
