Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price is a World Series champion and he wants the whole world to know about it.

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a successful career but a narrative that’s haunted him throughout the years has been his inability to perform in the playoffs. Heading into October, Price held a combined 2-8 postseason record including outings for the Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays but managed to go 3-1 this time around. After taking some serious heat over time, an eleviated Price silenced his haters with a pretty blunttweet.

Take that everyone!

Fans had some pretty golden reactions to his choice words (or emoticons?).

The guy has probably had this tweet drawn up in his head for years and it really didn’t take long for him to let it all out! But hey, when you’re a world champion you can basically say whatever you want, right?

The Boston #RedSox are 2018 #WorldSeries champions!

Price’s contract includes a scenario in which he can opt-out but for now, he’s just enjoying life as a world champ. Time will tell if he can do it all again in Boston!
