Conor McGregor is not one to mince his words. The outspoken Irishman is one of the biggest personalities in the UFC, and he’s never been shy of letting his voice be heard. Sometimes it even carries over into action, as he has been involved in multiple physical confrontations.

His latest is easily his most controversial. At UFC 223 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn back in April, video emerged of McGregor and a band of his buddies storming a bus carrying other fighters and figures from around the UFC. The footage showed McGregor toss some equipment that was in the terminal at the bus, shattering a window and lacerating Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg in the process.

While McGregor has been given a little extra rope in the past due to his stature in the professional MMA world, the April outburst came down on him harder than any previous. He was arrested for the incident and is currently out on $50K bail, and they have entered plea negotiations to resolve the charges.

Through all of this, McGregor has been uncharacteristically quiet. On Thursday, the prized fighter addressed the media expressing regret and “hope” that it can be resolved.

Many believe that McGregor’s status in the UFC is untouchable, and that he will be back fighting soon. Saying that, nothing is guaranteed and the future of the Irishman remains unclear at this time.
