This past summer, the Los Angeles Clippers were faced with a tough decision and were forced to re-sign either Chris Paul or Blake Griffin.
As we all know, they went with Griffin and decided to trade CP3 to the Houston Rockets in a blockbuster deal.
One week after the Clippers dealt Paul to the Rockets, LA acquired forward Danilo Gallinari from the Denver Nuggets as part of a three-team trade that sent Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone and Houston’s 2018 first round draft pick.
Heading into next season, the new-look Clippers will be without Chris Paul, Jamal Crawford and J.J. Redick, and now you can probably add their newest acquisition to that list.
In an Italian exhibition game on Sunday, the newest member of the Clippers got into it with one of the Netherlands players after he got a little frustrated and you can bet he’s regretting his decision right about now.
It turns out the punch that Gallinari attempted to throw was a big one, only it ended up hurting him and not his opponent.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Gallinari is still expected to be ready for training camp, but if he ends up having surgery that will definitely change.
Gallinari will probably think twice next time he tries to be the tough guy on the court.
